Welcome to Whispering Gums Pony Stud.
Located at the glorious Mt Mee 30minutes west of Caboolture, Queensland.
WG Stud has 2 stallions, pinto quarter pony and buckskin Welsh A. We breed Welsh Mountain ponies and derivatives, but also ponies with a bit more height and build. Our main aim is a quiet, intellegent pony with a good temperemant and conformation, suitable for the whole family with good looks and added bonus of colour also. We have sold Roseriae Paprika and hes now gelded but some lovely foals from him. Look out for coloured King babys soon!
Our property is set upon "Mt Mee" via Caboolture - on 40 acres, we have 6 shimerring dams, a large round yard, hilly paddocks to achieve surefooted & fitness. Also cattle yards, plus forestry just 2km down the road to ride in. We are lucky to also have 2 neighboring paddocks we use with plenty of grass and room and good facilities for for some of our horses.
Whispering Gums Pony Stud has also rescued and trained many horses and offers training sevices, and also selling on comission. Natural horsemanship and our own methods used, years of experience with all different horses. Referances available, see Our Services page. We have had experiences with many different horses over the years, from totally unhandled, off the track and also also re-conditioning emaciated rescue cases.
We plan to do more shows this season with our horses, we are a member of the pony club, and we also do gymkhanas, showjumping, dressage lessons and hunter trials, and occasionally endurance. Our horses also enjoy being ridden in the bush and on the peaceful trails in the forest - they also get to go for swims and muster the cattle. We like to train our horses a few tricks, as we think this helps with gaining a better trust and comunication between horse and handler. Our young horses are accustomed to machinery, bikes, water and other animals also. We have selection of broodmares and competition horses, see mares/geldings page.
