I started this ring February 28th, 2002. I created it because there are all these rings that say, "YOU MUST HAVE A DOMAIN" or "NO FREESERVERS".. well guess what? I couldn't join more than half because I was at Envy.nu (Now I'm hosted at the lovely domain of Ill-advised.net). Personally, I didn't think that was very fair because anyone and everyone should join. It is not someone's fault that they do not have a domain. Maybe they don't have the money or commitment. Maybe their site is only for the sole purpose of taking up space on the web. Your talent should not be judged on how much you pay for your web space. I have heard of such cliques/rings that if they do not like the name of your site, they will not let you in. Hmmm, I don't know about you, but that is just pathetic and immature. Yes, elite cliques are very strict, but they should not be limited to only hosted sites. Some of the most horrible sites I have seen are domains or hosted sites. I've seen better on Tripod. If you are really sick of those stupid close-minded domain owners, then join!
