"The wind blows where it wishes and you hear the sound of it, but do not know where it comes from and where it is going; so is everyone who is born of the Spirit". John 3:8 |

After watching it do this for about thirty minutes I walked toward it to spook it into the air, so that I could get a few photographs of its flight. It flew into the air not appreciating my approaching presence.
Man has always admired hawks and eagles. The swiftness of flight and the inaccessibility of their nests brings joy into our lives.
The Bible uses eagles to explain God's dealing with the Israelites. God brought the Israelites out of Egypt and took them through the desert as if they were on eagles wings (Ex. 19:4). The Lord gives us a satisfying life so that our youth is renewed like the eagles (Ps. 103:5). A nation attacking Israel is comparable to an eagle swooping down (Deut. 28:49). The Israelites pursuers, were swifter than the eagles of the sky (Lam. 4:19).
As I walked out of the Park, I met some Land Surveyors who told me that a gambling boat would operate in the area. Our society seems to be obsessed with gambling. As society becomes corrupt Jesus offers a solution of peace and eternal life.
Eagles seem to soar above the problems of the world. As we wait on the Lord we will gain strength like eagles. We will mount up with wings like eagles. Our strength will not run out.
Water from the Rock Bible StudiesHow do we wait on the Lord? 1. Be silent before the Lord and listen to His voice. (Ps.62:1; Hab. 2:1; Ps. 4:4)
2. Wait for the Lord to answer. (Isa. 30:18; Ps. 106:13;Isa.8:17)
3. Wait or trust in the Lord. (Ps. 33:18-19; Isa. 49:23; Ps. 39:7; Ps. 130:5-8)
4. Wait for the Lord by doing good. (Isa 64:4; Lk. 12:35-40)
5. Praying eagerly for God to answer. (Ps. 69:3; Ps. 40:1-3)
