If I may take some liberty, with typology, the fallen Oak tree could represent a fallen leader in the church. When he falls he will crush others underneath him. In the absence of his leadership there will be a vacuum. Some of those that are crushed will die, others will bounce back and become vibrant again in due time though a scar will remain. What makes the difference between one tree that dies under the crushing blow of the falling tree and one that is only bent but later rebounds?
The tree that died under the blow may not have been healthy, it may have had some dead wood in its trunk that cracked under the blow. It was in the direct line of fall of the Oak. The tree that was just bent was off to the side and was hit by some of the branches of the mighty Oak. Tc aep from being injured by leaders, find out what the Bible says for yours if and learn to hear from God.
A leader may be out of God's will, but still have the delegated authority form God. Don't fall into the trap of rebellion against God's authority. There will always be different ways to reach a goal. Don't be discouraged if a leader has a different opinion than you. A leader should point the way to God but a good leader will always give his people space to grow.
