Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!

Belief is:
Conviction that certain things are true
Trust other parts of life are based on it
Confidence it its truth.
Fundamental assurance of its truth.
To decide that what is said is true.
When doubt is brought out by others, it is passed off because of assurance.

Walking in one of my favorite parks, I came upon an old stagnant stock pond covered with algae. I had noticed the water level go down in the past several years.

The usefulness of this pond is dying. The water is ruined no outlet. to help cleanse the pond.

Some Christians are like this pond. We need to store the teachings of the Holy Spirit
(water source), but if we don’t have an outlet (ministry), we become stagnate.

If we stay stagnate for too long, hindrances to , (algae) our Christian life develop
making us useful for nothing.

Seek refreshment from the Holy Spirit through a quiet time, Church Christian books, tapes, radio, and Sunday school. Learn the work that the Lord has for you and develop an outlet.

As you start to give out to others a tension will develop between serving the Lord and
desires of the flesh. You will either have to give up outreach or allow your life to be
cleansed by the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit.

"Did I not say to you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?"

How do you get this living water to flow in your life? It takes praying through, using the blood of Jesus, claiming the power that God has bestowed on us because of the shedding of Jesus blood on the cross. The blood of Jesus bring peace between God and us. Satan has no power against the blood and will flee at the name of Jesus.

Believing in Jesus and promises of the Word, allow His living water to flow through your heart causing you to have an abundant life of victory and ministry.

Believe in Jesus

Believe in Jesus ! “If any man is thirsty let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in
Me, as the Scripture said, ‘ Form his innermost being shall flow rivers of living water.’”
(John 7:37,38)

To believe in Jesus is to tap into the well that will never run dry. Geology explains that
ground water can flow through rocks. This water will be pushed from the water that is
flowing from behind it. Springs come from this source of ground water that flows
underground. God is our source of living water and it is He that pushes this living water
to our hearts giving an abundance as the need arises.

Belief comes from being in His Word and believing that what He said is true. Believe in
Jesus.

Attitudes of the Believer

1 Sitting Luke 8:35; Deut 33:3
2. Standing Eph. 6:13; Phil 4:1
3. Walking , Eph 2:10; Gal 5:25
4. Running, 1 Cor 9:24
5. Mounting up, Isaiah 40:31; 1 Thesalonians 4:17
6. Leaning, John 13:23
7. Lying down, Psalm 23:2

Seven “I Wills” of the Believer

1. I will trust and not be afraid. Isaiah 12:2
2. I will bless the Lord. Psalm 34:11
3. I will love Thee O Lord. Psalm 18:1
4. I will keep Thy statutes. Psalm 119:145
5. I will walk before the Lord. Psalm 118:9
6. I will praise Thee. Psalm 139:4
7. I will behave myself wisely. Psalm 101:2

Romans 12:1,2
“Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is you spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.”

Renewing your mind in the word will transform your mind. To be reminded of the promises of God and decide to live them and trust them will be the process of belief.

When you read something either you accept it (belief) or you reject it (unbelief). Accepting what the Bible says and then doing it is belief. Another option is to look into it further. If you have a open and honest heart, it would be good but if you have a hard heart it would hinder belief.

1. Renew your mind in the word by accepting as true what you read.
2. Have a soft outlook on what you read to be teachable. Quick to repent.

If any man is thirsty let him come to Jesus and drink. John 7:37 What does it mean to drink? As the deer pants for the water brooks so my soul pants for you O Lord. Ps 42:1 So drinking is receiving from Jesus. Drinking is receiving a lot from Jesus. Being famished and drinking a lot. To read a lot of the Word of God. Then to do what it says. The more we receive the more will flow out of us. Just as we are reminded of what we read by the Holy Spirit.

The third part to building belief is prayer. “I do believe, help my unbelief.” Mark 9:24 Persistence in prayer will build belief. God will answer what we ask for. If we prayer according to the will of God, God will answer. 1 Jn 5:14,15 So when we pray for God to help us believe God will. If we pray and do not act we have no belief or faith. God hears the prayers of faith.

Mark 9:23 is something! It says,
“If you can, all things are possible to him who believes.”

Belief is the work before us. “Now this is the work of God that you believe on Him who He has sent.” John 6:29

Our work is to find out what we are to believe. And then live in faith according to what God is guiding us to do.

Belief accepts what the Bible says
Doubt looks at circumstances and the past

Do we look at what happened to others. Or do we believe what the Bible says?

Belief described by nature.

A baby bird watches his parents fly back and forth to feed him. At one point he decides that he can fly too. So he tries it. Some birds fall to the ground and don?t try to fly again. A cat will come and capture the bird. It didn?t get a second chance to fly because of the cat. Let us not be like the little bird that stayed on the ground and was captured by the cat. Let us soar into the sky to experience what we are made for.
