Wexford County and the City of Cadillac Geographic Information Systems.




 Wexford County Geographic Information Systems (GIS)

     Wexford County GIS is under the direction of the Wexford County Equalization Department.  GIS is responsible for the development, maintenance and promotion of geographic data for the public and private sectors.   GIS plays an active role in land information, road inventory, building and zoning, addressing, public safety (911 and Emergency Management), Township and public service support.  Commonly produced maps consist of parcel maps, road maps, zoning maps and aerial photo maps.

Objective:
  • To provide County officials, County departments, Townships, other agencies, and the public with responsive and innovative GIS services such as accurate maps, technical support, digital data, and local coordination.
  • To continue the acquisition and development of new and useful geospatial data.
  • To promote and assist other County departments with potential GIS access and usage.
  • To continuously maintain the existing GIS data library as changes occur.

     Currently Wexford County GIS is using and maintaining around 110 layers of geographic data.   New geographic data and applications are currently being developed.  Please visit our GIS office to see what we can do for you!

What's New with Wexford County GIS?

     *The Interactive GIS Maps allow you to explore Wexford County Geography with easy to use tools.   Parcel data , Zoning data, School District boundaries, Commissioner District boundaries, Township and City Office locations, and 2005 color aerial photos can be layered onto the Wexford County GIS Base Map data.    All of the layers can be queried to obtain information such as parcel ownership information and zoning setback information.    The GIS Viewer offers tools for measuring distance/area, perform parcel searches (by name, parcel number or property address) and then create a printable map which you have specialized for your application.    Click here to visit our GIS Interactive Maps page and experience the power of GIS for yourself !
