Hi, i'm Matt and a keen allotment grower. I do general garden services such a lawn and hedge cutting under the name of growing roots. I am a young Northumbrian lad and love to get out into the garden. Inspired by Jimmy Doherty of jimmys farm and Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall i set up my own allotment in 2006 in partnership with my uncle. I had been gardening and growing veg with my grandad since i was a 'young un' and had most of my experience with potatoes as well as greenouse veg, leeks and flowers. My uncle was new to gardening so it was a bit of an adventure!
