EVENT & TRIP REPORTS Below are links to some reports on a few of the club's events, and some individual trips by club members. If anyone would like to provide a brief write-up on a recent trip, please email it to me or pass it to any committee member in any other form (even good old-fashioned paper!) Good use is also being made of the forum to record informal reports of events, along with a little associated banter. Follow the link on the left to see these, or to join in the fun. Review of 2008 A personal review of the club's activities in 2008 (or Steve's random ramblings). River Washburn, 24 August 2008 Another great day out on the Washburn. Not without drama this time. River Ure, 13 July 2008 The sun shone on us as we caught the
Hack Falls to Slenningford Mill run at a really good level.
Intermediate White-water course (Tryweryn) 23-24 June 2007 Steve & Mick spent two days on the Tryweryn improving both skills and confidence on Grade 3 - 4 water. An excellent course. Two of the club travelled over the Pennines for the fast waters of the narrow Washburn on one of the regular scheduled releases. A great day was had in glorious sunshine. River Ure, 28 October 2006 Allen's trip from Hack Falls to Slenningford Mill was timed just right, after enough rain to make both main rapids a high grade 3, and a good challenge for the group of six. River Liffey, August 2006
A report on a couple of summer holiday paddles on the Liffey, in Co. Kildare, Ireland. River Tryweryn, 14/05/06 & 09/07/06 So far this year, club members have twice made use of the guaranteed water at the Welsh National White Water Centre. A write-up of both trips is here. Photographs from the first trip are in the gallery. River Rothay, 3 June 2006 Carl organised a trip down the River Rothay on a fairly dry day in June. Read his report. River Greta, 1 April 2006 Five club members took advantage of the previous week or so's rainfall for an enjoyable run down the Greta in Cumbria. Click here for the report.
