...is a professional trombonist, vocalist and ASCAP composer, passionate about many types of music, including popular, classical, jazz, Latin and many others with which he's been fortunate to be involved. He's performed at Walt Disney World and Madison Square Garden (Salsa Festival 1994) and has studied and performed with some of the best in the industry: Peter Eldridge of the Grammy-winning New York Voices, Dr. Milt Stevens of the National Symphony and now his current compositional mentor Donald Fraser who has worked with opera star Jessye Norman, the English Chamber Orchestra and the BBC television network. Beaman has been recognized as a talented producer and arranger by such artists as Peter Graves, arranger and conductor for Barbra Streisand, Barry Gibb and the late Jaco Pastorius, Mr. Eldridge and Mr. Fraser. Other past experiences include free-lance work in Chicago, New York and Orlando and a four year tour with the US Air Force Heritage of America Band at Langley AFB, VA. Later, in 2005, Beaman was in charge of a highly regarded audition showcase for Walt Disney World, featuring NY Salsa sensation Choco Orta. Currently, Beaman continues to provide musical services to his former commander Lt. Colonel Larry H. Lang for whom he is currently writing a brand new composition entitled "From Beyond the Clouds." He is also working toward the development of a number of theatrical and film projects through various creative organizations. Additionally, he is enrolled at Northern Illinois University where he is a teaching assistant in the Jazz Studies program. He directs a student jazz combo and performs, writes and records with the Liberace Jazztet, an increasingly popular ensemble which has performed at Lincoln Center in NYC and at the Jazz Festival in Lima, Peru. Beaman also represents Florida-based Latin Music Booking (www.latinmusicbooking.com) and Fudev International Communications, Inc. (www.fudevinternational.com), a Rockford-based company which provides translation, media production and administrative services to clients on a national basis. Beaman holds a Bachelor's degree in Music Composition from Illinois Wesleyan University and an MBA from Rollins College.
