Welcome to the Murray River Western Performance site. We are a family friendly club that promotes all things western. Please browse our site for more infomation on our club and upcoming events. We welcome new members and hope to see you at one of our many and varied events in the future.
On 30th June, 2008, Australia officially declared itself free of EI. There is now a return to business as usual inside Australia, with free movement of horses and the holding of events with no restrictions.
It is still a requirement of the AQHA for insurance reasons that all participants read the DPI's Biosecurity guidelines and sign the EI Horse Tracing and Declaration form to attend any affiliated club events with horses.
In line with good horse biosecurity, the DPI is still asking all horse owners to be vigilant, check their horses daily and report any signs of respiratory symptoms to their local vet immediately or phone the 24 hour Emergency Animal Disease Hotline on 1800 675 888.
For any further information on EI, visit the Department of Primary Industries website.
The Murray River Western Performance Club's annual general meeting will be held on our usual club day on 10th August, starting at 12.30pm. All office bearer positions will be up for nomination so please give some thought to if you would like to become more involved with the running of the club through nominating for one of these positions.
As usual, we had a great time at this years cutting show so for the results and some photos, go to our Cutting Show page.
