Message from the Band Director...

It is my desire that every member of our band has an enjoyable and successful experience.  I believe that if we concentrate all of our energy in the same direction, we will achieve impressive success in the coming year. I hope that you have an awesome band season and an outstanding school year with the Western Band Program where we strive for “superiority” in music education.

Johnnie A. Tracey, WHS Band Director

CONGRATULATIONS to our SUPERIOR BAND!

On the evening of  3/15/2017 at MPA at Taravella High School, Western High School Band was awarded with overall "SUPERIOR" rating. This means the students excelled in sight reading and musical performance. NOTE: It has been 4 years since Western High School Band has received this rating. Again congratulations!

CONGRATULATIONS WILDCATS!!!!

Our marching band presented a stellar performance of their 2016 "Changes" show at the FBA competition and scored an overall SUPERIOR rating, which is the highest score! Congratulations to Mr. Tracey, the percussion and color guard teachers, the volunteers and, most importantly, all of the students for the hard work you all put in to make this happen. GO, WILDCATS!

Pick up your badge at the school office 3-4 days after applying online and then request Level Two paperwork.  If you were Level Two last year, you need only complete paperwork, no new fingerprinting is required.  If this is your first year as Level Two, you will be notified when you have been cleared to go to the school board office for fingerprinting.
