Pirates Recruit - 8/2/2006

Everybody's favourite team has been searching the seven seas for new soccer talent; pickin up The Phil Rivers Academy starlet Rory Meecham, to add to it's fast growing new talent such as Bob Hunt and Mike Bolt. Both Hunt and Bolt have been on the scoresheet in their short stay in the mid table club so lets hope Meecham can do the same!

Westbrook to face Rivals in a Pre-Season "Friendly" - 9/8/2005

Sources close to the club have confirmed rumours that Westbrook U18 are to face Swindon Badgers in what is sure to become a heated performance by both teams. With Westbrook losin both home and away to the side last season, revenge is wanted by the squad. An annonamous e-mail was left in the westbrook inbox which read " I'm glad to play them again. We would have beaten them away if Psycho Mike hadn't got sent off! We deserve a win!"

A member of the clubs comitee has confirmed that "Badgers have asked us to play a friendly" and it is due to happen some time in the future as the member has agreed to the arrangement;  "I said yes." .

Westbrook - Purton Merge Finalised - 22/5/2005

The two clubs, Purton and Westbrook have come to a conclusion that it would be better for both clubs to merge, Westbrook get better facilaties for both training and matches, and Purton get a new batch of fresh talent.
