Registration: Will be sold with AWHA WID registration (His dam is an inch too small to be a Foundation Mare, otherwise Ricky would be in the Studbook)

Height: Expected to mature 15.2-15.3h

Colour: Bay.  Three small socks with ermine markings.

Ricky is a delightful character who has been handled since birth and shows a very good, trainable temperament.  He is very friendly, loves to be around people, but also has impeccable manners.  He has excellent conformation with straight, correct legs and will mature into a big strong type of horse without losing the elegance of his sire.  This colt is something special and will only go to a serious competition home.  While he was bred with eventing and showjumping in mind, he would also suit dressage - uphill and balanced with a lot of power.  He has been shown in hand and is fully handled.

For those interested in a stallion prospect, Ricky is NOT eligible to go through AWHA stallion licensing only due to his dam being too small, but may be eligible for ACE, AWSHA, ISSA, etc.

~ Conditions of Sale ~

Halado Park offers two methods of payment for foals:

a) A $500 non-refundable holding fee with the balance to be paid when the foal is collected by the buyer.  The holding fee guarantees that the foal is off the market and reserved in the buyer's name until full payment and collection of foal.  The holding fee will ONLY be refunded if the foal dies or is injured causing permanent unsoundness.

b) Full payment of the foal prior to weaning.  This will only be accepted if the foal is insured by the buyer at time of payment (proof required). 

* Foals will be available to be collected by owners immediately after weaning (a shetland pony is available to act as nanny while they travel to their new home).
* No horse will leave the property until they are fully paid for.
* No owner will receive papers for their horse until they are fully paid for.
* Owners are encouraged to come and work with their foals while at Halado Park.  Assistance can be provided if necessary.
* Maintenence costs will be borne by the owner of a weanling commencing two weeks after weaning.

17h Thoroughbred mare, 8yo.  More info on broodmare page.  Basic education and has been to pony club and a childrens' hunt.  Sensible and quiet with natural balance and self carriage.  Very friendly and lots of character.  Suit confident rider who wants a quiet horse to trail ride or do low level shows with.

Lease is offered until April 2009 with no option to buy, and will require a brief trip home in November 2008 to be served.
