The WELTSCHMERZ "project" rose in 1994, after Anthony Duman's experience in 1989 as the former Monumentum's bass player ("Musaeum Hermeticum" demotape.)

WELTSCHMERZ current incarnation revolves around five members:
Nothing (Anthony), Prejudice, Malice, Indifference and Desire.

One of the meanings of the WELTSCHMERZ word from the German is "The Pain of the World"; a sense of deep Nostalgia for the Endless
A dive in the more unknown sides of our condition in relationship to the whole Kosmos.

The dark and dramatic side of the music of WELTSCHMERZ is deliberate and tries to reflect, to exorcize it, the actual condition of the human being, that wanders without destination between the more unbridled materialism in search of an objective reality of life.
