Here at Wellspring, we value expertise. Our Animal Trainer has more than 30 years of experience working with dogs and other species. Our Veterinarian who is on site to handle any emergencies that may arise, is the owner as well as the owner/operator of Wellspring Animal Hospital.

Meet our Certified Animal Trainer/Behavioralist, AKC CGC Evaluator ,Edie Sutton.  Edie grew up the daughter of an international dog breeder and exhibitor of AKC Poodles, Boxers, and Great Danes. She has lived with and trained many different species including dogs, cats, birds, monkeys, and even a lion. Edie worked with canines while she was a police officer/Lieutenant for Fulton County Police Department until 1997 when she was instrumental in incorporating canine units in executive protection sweeps for Georgia-Pacific Corporation in Atlanta, Georgia. In 2005, Edie accepted a job as Dog Trainer for Petsmart in Conyers where she worked until 2007 when Dr. Thomas brought her in to set up the training program here at Wellspring. Edie is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers. Is an AKC Certified CGC Evaluator.

Ace Ventura, The Pet Detective/Canine Trainer is an integral part of the training team. He provides necessary translation and demonstates all aspects of the training curriculum for the students. At only 2 years old, he is a model teacher who has recieved his CGC from AKC and his ILP as a Havanese. This listing will gives him the right to compete in obedience and agility trials with AKC as a neutered male Havanese with no registration at birth.

Dr. Laura Thomas is well-known for her expertise and caring in the Newton Co/Rockdale Co area. She is a professional who is often sought for her ability to handle even the most uncontrollable animals with care and kindness. Her vision created this training center and continues to drive the forces of growth to create a premier training facility utilizing only the most current positive training techniques availlable.
