        Joe Biden was born on November 20, 1942 to Jean Biden and Joe Biden Sr. He was born in Scranton, Pa and moved to Delaware at the age of ten. He attended high school at Archmere Academy in Claymont, Delaware and then went to the University of Delaware where he got a bachelor's degree. He then attended Syracuse university in New York. There he got his law degree. He became a trial attorney and then became a US senator. He was the fifth youngest in history to become a senator and he served for five consecutive terms. Joe Biden married Neilia Hunter in 1966 and had three children with her. They were Naomi, Joseph"Beau", and Robert Hunter. Neilia and his daughter Naomi were killed in a car accident in 1972. His two sons were severely injured. In 1977, he married Jill Jacobs. She is a professor at schools in Delaware. They had a daughter named Ashley. In January 2007, Joe Biden declared his candidacy for the presidential nominee, but in January 2008 he dropped out. Finally, on August 23, 2008, Barrack Obama selected him to be the Vice presidential nominee for the democratic party.
