Hello there.

Weekend Rockstar has been open since 1 July 2008, and is the blog and portfolio of Jo, i.e. me. There are also some resources just for you, because I'm cool like that. Everything on here was probably made by me, unless I have said otherwise. Credits can be found on the site info page.

Yes, an actual, proper blog.

I've been back at school for a week now, and it's pretty much driving me crazy already. We can drop one of our subjects that we did in Year 12 and only do 3 subjects in Year 13, which they know mostly everyone will do... but not until September. Even though we have 'officially' started Year 13 now. Which means I have to do a load of work for ICT, which is wasting time that could be spent on work for subjects that I actually want to do next year (English, Media and Photography). I also have to do a 5 - 10 minute presentation in Media... I hate presentations. This is also pointless, as the teacher we are doing it for isn't even going to be our teacher in September. AND we got our Photography brief, which at the moment = a big, fat BLANK. It is 'Growth & Decay'. I have no inspiration. *Fails*. End of school rant.

Last Wednesday, I went to an university open day not far from where I live. It was alot better than I thought it would be - some of the art, design and photography in the exhibition was amazing. I was a bit worried before, as I wasn't sure what sort of course I wanted to take or even if I definitely wanted to go to uni, but going there has made me feel alot better about university etc. And, because we took a day off school to go, I missed 3 lessons of ICT = SCORE!! Now, how do I get out of tomorrow's ICT lessons...? *Insert evil smiley here*

And then on Friday was the Year 13 leaving prom... it's a bit sad to see some of them go, all going off to Uni and gap years and such. It'll be weird in Sixth Form without them there. But the prom was good, and I'm actually in love with the shoes I bought to wear ♥ hehe...

So yeah, an actual, proper (a quite long) blog from me, which is a rare thing. Read it and enjoy, I doubt it will happen very often. I will probably go back to my lists of quick updates with the plus and minus things that only very cool people notice
