     Web directories are another tool to help your website get to the too. There are so many web directories I can't tell you about them all. Just search the subject of your site for a directory.

Example: If your site is about music, search for "Music directory" or "Music internet directory"

     I will give you information on the single most important directory however. If you EVER want to make it big with your website it is a NECESSITY to submit your site to the Open Directory Project.

This directory is used as a tool for all the major search engines. Be warned however. They are very strict about getting in. Read their submission guidelines carefully here. It may take a few weeks to a few months or more for them to add your site and they do not accept all sites.

Do not be rude if your site is not accepted. Just try again. Keep on top of the status of your submission in their forums.
