Most Hate-Worthy Books:
The Red Pony, John Steinbeck
(Bored me out of my skull.)
A Farewell to Arms, Ernest Hemingway
(Excuse me while I vomit. The “heroine” of this novel makes me sick. This is a
male chauvinist’s romance novel. Hemingway, I do not like you. You have a character
on Celebrity Deathmatch coming up soon. I hope you die … in the rain.)
Lost in the Cosmos, Walker Percy
(Percy is a know-it-all who tries too hard to sound philosophical. Even for an English
major with a fascination in philosophy (like myself), he thinks too much in metaphors.
He makes about 2 memorable points in his book, the rest is erudite blather designed to
fool the masses into thinking they don’t know anything.)

SURVEY
Nicknames:
from birth - banana.
from junior high - webby.
from high school - ann, evil # 5, supatight, da duck, the one who breaks
everything, and the scapgoat of the world (ok, the last two weren’t
really nicknames, but they were my reputations)
from college - Sam (i could explain, but you'd worry for my sanity)
MBTI type: INTP (introverted, intuitive, thinking perciever)
Major: English (but also strongly interested in philosophy and psychology)
Current Projects and Hobbies: my weblog, learning more html, gathering ideas
for "scary stories", compiling my own dictionary of cool words, searching for
more great music
Strengths: extremely analytical, intelligent, inquisitive/curious,
knowledgable about a decent range of ideas and activies, very independent,
open-minded and accepting of people, decent at "reading" people, good
selective-memory skills ;-), will help anyone who asks whenever possible,
willing to learn about almost anything, extremely morally motivated in behavior
Weaknesses: *extremely* analytical, overly self-involved, occasionally
oblivious, indecisiveness, insecurity, being chicken, prone to second-guessing
myself, letting stress get to me, indulging in unnecessary guilt, judging
people too quickly, thinking I know everything, difficulty in admitting ignorance
What is your single biggest fear?: Lack of independence.
What's your sign?: Libra
(Which means I sway back and forth in an effort to achieve balance.)
If you could have any job, what would it be?: A writer, both of fiction
and expository stuff. Possibly journalistic, but the deadlines would be a problem.
Glass half full or half empty?: Like a friend of mine told me, "It's just a
half a glass of water!"
What screen saver is on your computer right now?: The scrolling marquee:
"Opportunity knocks ......... temptation knocks the door down."
If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be?:
My inability to act on things.
Ever been in love?: Not the "real thing", but the infatuations I get are pretty
terrible. When I fall, I fall too damn hard.
Do you have a boyfriend/girlfriend?: Nope. I'm chronically single.
Wanted to hook up with a friend: Those are the ONLY guys I fall for. Honestly, I
can't even really get interested in sometime till I get to know them pretty well. "At sight"
has only happened twice.
Dumper or Dumpee: Um, does telling wanna-be relationship options that you're not
interested in them count as being a "dumper"? I mean, you really have to be IN a
relationship before you can really choose either of these options. Oh well.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years: A successful writer of a series of preteens'
ghost stories and at least one novel, plus some other writing exercises that I get payed for.
Possibly married, but maybe not. I'm in no hurry, and I want to travel first (partly for my
own experience and chance to goof off, and partly to learn how people and the world and
language work better. That way, I'll be a much more knowledgable writer. :-)) I'd like to
have done some acting outside of school too, as well as some backstage work. Most importantly,
though, I want to be a FORMER waitress.
