Who are Word Weavers?
Word Weavers is the brainchild of Jennifer L. Miller (Jenna) and Melissa McWilliams (Mel).  The two met while promoting their respective fantasy books and looking for people to review it.  Deciding two heads are better than one, they began to help each other out with ideas and one day Jenna was playing around with trading card templates and the idea struck.  Thus Word Weavers was born and their numbers have grown from there.  There are well over 60 author cards which have been entered in to the Trading Card Museum.  Visit our Shop page for a listing of books available for purchase.

Surrounded by friends the likes of Cassandra Lee, Dave Rex, Robert Marston Fanney, Andrea Dean Van Scoyoc, Helen Hollick and Eric Enck, Jenna and Mel keep plugging and promoting their fellow authors as well as themselves.  You can find out more about each of them below.  Thanks for stopping by and keep checking back as we keep updating this site!

What in the World is a Word Weaver?
Very good question!  A Word Weaver is someone who writes and is either published or unpublished.  At least that is what we call authors and writers.  But more specifically, a Word Weaver is someone who helps promote their fellow authors in any aspect.  We have a MySpace page, we have this website and we also have a MySpace group as well as Author Trading Cards.

MySpace page - On our MySpace profile page, we have Featured Authors.  Each author gets about a four day spotlight along with links to their sites as well as where to buy their books and how to contact them.  We also feature excerpts from stories as well as important dates.  Got a book signing?  We'll add it to our calendar.  How about a new book release?  We'll add that as well.  Anything you have going on, we'll add to our calendar as long as it pertains to you and your writing.

MySpace Group - In this Group we do lots of things.  We promote ourselves, critique work and keep each other posted of upcoming events.  Of course, we also like to have a little fun.  But don't be shy about shameless plugging here, that's what we're there for!

Author Trading Cards - Are you a published author?  Great!  That is all we need to create a card for you.  Well, that and a little info about you, your book and a contact link as well as a pic of either you or your book or both.  Some of our Authors who have a Trading Card have taken not just their card to book signings, but several others as well and they have been a hit!  They go like hotcakes!  A great selling point for these cards is to hand them out like a bookmark or business card.  Someone not interested in your style or type of writing?  Well what about this person? (Hand them a card of someone else) and you have just promoted your fellow author and made a fan for yourself!  Another big key...autograph the card!  They won't throw it away.
