A Message from the NLSM Executive Director:
I need your support! You can be a partner in the next NLSM March for Justice. In just a short time, one of our attorneys will have the
opportunity to actually use his bilateral total hip replacements and a new knee replacement to complete a remarkable March for Justice effort.
The March will build upon the legacy of NLSM's Inaugural March for Justice. The Inaugural March started near Detroit's Comerica Park
and ended inside Ford Field on 10/24/04. On that day, dedicated people from Michigan and other parts of the world joined the Detroit Free Press
Marathon 5K Marathon Mission effort to walk for just causes, including NLSM and our Beat the Odds Awards program.
As Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. led the Great March on Detroit approximately 40 years ago, NLSM is boldly marching on in the battle for
righteousness and justice for the oppressed. In 2006, new community and faith-based partners will join us in celebrating the 40th Anniversary of
NLSM. You may have known that NLSM is a legal aid leader. What you may not know is that NLSM touches the lives of thousands of individuals and
families in more than 60 multi-cultural schools and communities annually. There is so much more to be done
and we need your help to continue the
fight for equality, fairness, and resources for human survival. Any gift you make will be appreciated. Thanks for your generosity. Whatever you
give, please accept my deepest thanks.
Sincerely,
Jeffrey G. Nutt, Esq.
Executive Director
