Practice Starts This Week

A record 36 girls took part in the annual Midnight Madness practice which kicked off the 2008 season at 12:01 AM on Monday, August 4.

Here's what's going on this week:

Monday, 8/4        Practice 4-6:00

Tuesday, 8/5        Practice 9-11:00 and 4-6:00

Wednesday, 8/6   Practice 3:30-6:00

Thursday, 8/7       Practice 3:30-6:00

Friday, 8/8           Practice 3-5:00

Saturday, 8/9       Practice 9-11:30  Parent Meeting 9:00

L.A.C.E.S. Mission Continues in 2008!

Over the past several years we have sent hundreds of soccer balls and many boxes of clothing and equipment to Iraq and Afghanistan.  The girls have collected boxes of cleats theat were sent to Guadalajara, Mexico.

Last year we found a new target for the gear we can collect, Liberia!  Located on the  west coast of Africa, Liberia is recovering from a devastating civil war.  Among the many relief efforts, one is led by a young woman from Muncie who will leave this week to organize youth soccer leagues around the country.  It seems that this sort of thing is extremely effective and they need many things to help the children of this country.  Though we sent quite a bit last year,  there is still great need.
