Sighting
Who: W. C. and J. C.
When: Fall/Winter '99
Where: Northern Talbot County
Time of Day: Mid-Evening
Terrain: Low, creek area, surround by hills.
What Was Seen, Found, and/or Heard: My friend J.
C. and I had been doing some hiking through our land in northern
Talbot county one weekend's evening. We had been in the woods for a
while. We were a bit wore out from walking along the hilly area, and we
had come to a lower, bottomland area of our land where there's a few
creek beds, some dried up, some swampy, some had water. We
decided to head to head back towards the house, which was about .15
mile away. As we began walking a bit of movement caught "J's" eye. We
stopped. He said he saw something/someone walking away from us at a
slight angle up the side of a hill, towards the field area in front of
our house. He asked me to give him my binoculars. When I did, he asked
again if I saw it. I replied with a quiet "No." As he looked towards
the area, he saw something resembling a thick-bodied human walking
slightly bent foward with a long stride. He didn't see much of the
thing. When it was out of sight, he asked, "Did you see that!?" I
hadn't. At this, we ran towards the house to get our heads together and
figure out what it was. This finished this bit of the sighting.
Additional Information: The
creature was said to resemble closely a taller human in one-colored,
hunting coveralls. No true neck was visible. It did not appear to know
we were there, it was only intent on getting away, or getting where it
wanted to go. We have never had any problem with trespassers.
Prior (Day's) Events: J.
C. and I had been not only hiking, but searching for something that
had scared us out of the woods a few times while we had been making a
movie. During these movies, we would knock hard wood up against trees,
and then run like something was after us. After much research on
bigfoot sightings and reports, these creatures have been known to knock
wood up against trees when excited. Could a bigfoot have thought that
we were another bigfoot in his/her area an was coming to investigate?
For the day's prior events, we had been hiking in search for a sign of
someone in the woods, if that was possible.
Was Additional Search Conducted:
Yes, but not a bigfoot search. After we got to the house, we then moved
to the east, crossed a fence, and setup a seating area in an overgrown
field. We had the hopes that whatever it was, would move across this
field. No additional sightings were found on this day.

Who: L. B.
When: Fall, '03
Where: Northern Talbot County
Time of Day: Early Night
Terrain: Flat, field land.
What was seen, found, and/or heard:
After coming out of the woods from an evening's hunting trip, Mr. L.
B. had to cross a small stretch of a large field to get to his
parked truck. As he began his walk from the treeline (small pine
saplings) he could almost feel something wasn't right. As he got within
the last stretch of his truck, approx. 50 ft. he heard something
approaching his direction from his left (west). "Whatever it was, it
just kept coming." he says, describing the approaching thing. Whatever
it was, wasn't stopping, so Mr. B. decided to climb into the bed of
his truck for some narrow protection. He says that whatever it was
walked right up to the truck, close enough to scare Mr. B. enough
to where he took his rifle from his shoulder, and was prepared to fire
in the case of an attack. The creature, black in color, anywhere for
4-5' high (estimated) walked right up, to, and past his truck, and
continued forward to go on away, cross the nearby road, into the woods
on the opposite side.
Additional Information: Mr. L. Bailey
did not mention anything about a putrid odor when the creature
approached, and said whatever it was, was big. His hunting partner, who
wasn't present at the time, suggested to him that it could've been a
loose cow. Even after that suggestion, Mr. L B. still admits that
he doesn't know what it was.
Prior (Day's) Events: L. B.'s day had consisted mostly of hunting, and he had never had anything like this happen to him before.
Was Additional Search Conducted: No.
After this, Mr. B. got into his truck and drove home. I, however,
did not find out about this until months later, when I asked him about
what happened.
Pictures: No, the only pictures
what would be available would be a picture of the field and/or pictures
taken from Mr. B.'s trail cam that night, which showed nothing but
a couple of small deer.

Who: WCGBI
When: August 10, 2004
Where: Flint River banks in the area between Sperwell Bluff and Highway 36 bridge. (Talbot/Upson counties)
Time of Day: Mid-day, between 1-4 PM.
Terrain: Dry, wooded, river banks. Hilly areas with hardwoods, and some rocky areas.
What Was Seen, Found, and/or Heard:
The day began with a canoeing trip starting at the Upson county's
Sperwell Bluff park boat ramp, and ending up at the Highway 36 bridge.
I knew that this would be a great time to explore the banks at each
stop for signs of bigfoot activity through this area. Our first stop
came up within about 45 minutes of our start. We passed by some river
houses on our left, and went down a river shute at a shoal area, and
banked on the left side of the river. I then went up on the bank with
my Sony CyberShot digital camera, and began searching. *The first thing
I located was a tree that appeared to have been pulled and twisted
down. This tree was approx. 3-4" in diameter, and was still growing,
even though it was completely facing the wrong way. I then walked
farter from the bank, already about 100' away from the waters edge and
in the tree line, I looked up for a bark scrape, and noticed some bare
wood above. As I approached I saw that *a pine tree had the bark
scraped off on one side of the tree from the 8-12' range. The bark that
was removed wasn't laying anywhere near the tree, and I was not able to
locate it. The bark was cleanly removed, and hadn't been sheared off.
It could have been natural, due to rotting, but the tree looked
healthy, and it was still quite odd. The last thing located were two
possible footprints. The primary one was located in an area that I was
searching in that had appeared to have a lot of traffic since a lot of
the leaves were pressed flat, but the low, green vegitation wasn't
trampled. *The footprint was pressed into the leaves and was approx 1"
deep at the deepest point, where the toes would've been. The leaves
were pretty thick, so it was impossible to recover toe impressions or
ridges. From here we left after eating a lunch and continued on the
search.
The next and last of that day's search was
conducted on the left bank at Table Rock. Once we stopped, I
immediately began my search of the river's edge, up onto the bank, and
then into the treeline which was about 5' away from the bank. *The
first thing I found was an area that two trees had fallen, and had been
tangled together by a big mass of vines. It didn't appear natural,
because it appeared that some of the saplings' limbs had been twisted
the wrong way, but not broken. This, too, could've been natural, but
didn't seem to be. Just a few feet away this was possibly the best find
of the day. *Two small trees, about 1" in diameter had been cleanly and
powerfully broken off. They weren't detatched, both were held on by
just a bit of wood that was left. Both broken pieces were facing the
same direction. There were two more trees nearby of a similar stature,
that were untouched. *Just a little ways from this, I located two 1"
sapings that had been bent together to form an X. In order to keep
these from pulling back apart, and reforming as they should be, a
large, 3" limb was placed on top of them. Not far from this was where
the hill side began to slope upwards, at this point was where I made my
last find of the day. *A sapling, approx. 2-3" wide had been bent
cleanly throughout the full length of the tree to where it formed a
perfect arch, in which the top of the tree just was within range of the
ground, barely not touching. And this ended the findings.
Additional information may be added to this section later, but these were the primary events of this outing.
Additional Information: No samples
were collected, such as hair. No loud sounds, screams, or putrid smells
were experienced. In the above information. For the objects described
that have an asterisk (*) in front of a sentence, a picture if
available.
Prior (Day's) Events: The primary events were the canoeing trip which was the basis of this search.
Was an Additional Search Conducted: No, only the primary searches for evidence were conducted.

Sighting
Who: C. W.
When: Winter '04
Where: Location not specific, suspected to be south Talbot Co., Marion Co., or Taylor Co. Needs Clarification.
Time of Day: Late Evening. Darkness had just fallen.
Terrain: Suspected to be thickly wooded area on the side of a dirtroad.
What Was Seen, Found, and/or Heard: Mr.
C. W. had spent his evening hunting. As many others, he used a
climbing tree stand so each hunting location was different. I believe
he specified he was using a .25-.06 Caliber rifle. As Mr. W. was
leaving the area after nightfall, he began the long treck back to his
truck wich was over 200 yards away though the woods. As he was making
his way towards the truck he noticed a rustling sound behind him and he
stopped to listen. With no more sound heard, he continued walking. The
sound seemed to be following him. He stopped again, an estimated
distance of at least 100 yards from his truck, still in the woods. This
is when the event took place. At this time, he heard a huge crash
behind him. He then heard a large creature of unknown size hurling
itself through the woods in his direction. Mr. W. guessed that
whatever it was was at the least 50ft. away when the creature began
"screaming like a shot panther." As the creature approached closer at a
fast rate, it then turned and started going to his left, still
screaming. The creature continued on. Until out of hearing distance,
screaming. The thing terrified Mr. W. bad, "I swear I was ready
at a moments notice to run... terrified me so bad I was tempted to just
start blindly popping off shots through the woods in the
things direction."
As it turns out, this wasn't
the only time that this happened to Mr. W. Another sighting
occourred within the next month. After he'd gotten his courage up to go
hunting in the area again he went on another evening hunt, in the same
general area. Since he never wanted to be caught in the woods again
with that thing, he decided to take the long route back to his truck by
first walking to the dirtroad, then to his truck, instead of taking a
direct route through the woods. As with his other event, Mr. W. was
finished up with an evening's hunt at nightfall and was making his trip
back to the truck walking down the dirtroad when he experienced the
same thing. He heard a large creature running through the woods behind
him on one side of the dirt road. As whatever it was approached the
dirtroad, it began screaming the creature running at a high rate of
speed shot out of the woods, across the road, and into the opposing
side out of eyesight of Mr. W. On the rest of his trip back to the
truck, he didn't experience anything else.
Additional Information: Whatever the
creature was, was huge, or sounded like it was. The creature ran at a
fast pace, never directly approaching Mr. W., but coming close
enough to give him a terrible scare. Odd thing is, and to verify that
Mr. W. was not joking about these things, a time later, another
fellow, a frind of Mr. W.'s,Mr. S. P., was hunting in the same area.
As he was coming down from his stand, he heard something large scream
at an extremely high pitched scream. Whatever it was then pawed at the
ground multiple times and stopped. No sound of the creature
approaching, or leaving was heard. Mr. P. made the trip to the truck
successfully with no interruptions. In the book Weird Georgia, it tells
of sightings along the Flint River area of Taylor County, and even has
a sighting in which a woman found a Bigfoot creature digging in her
garbage at the wood's edge. Investigators searched the area and found a
mawled tree in which honeycomb from a bee's nest had been
chewed. No sightings were reported during daylight. What was this
thing scaring Mr. W. out of the woods at night?
Prior (Day's) Events: In each occourance, the men had spent the evening hunting.
Was an Additional Search Conducted: No, the only other report came from Mr. S.

Investigation
Who: WCGBI
When: Feb. 26, 2005
Where: Northern Talbot County, across the road from where Mr. L. B.'s sighting occurred.
Time of Day: Mid Day
Terrain: Edge of an overgrown,
unusued field. Area is flat. There's a line of brush/trees between the
structure and the road which is approx. 15' away.
What was Seen, Found, and/or Heard:
The hike started off normal. I was going to hike across a large,
overgrown field to get to an area and investigate what was going on.
I'd been hearing machinery running, and thought I'd check out what it
was.
I was wearing just woodland camo pants, a brown t-shirt,
and armed with my Hi-Point 9mm. pistol with 6 bullets. I made my way
through the more wooded, thorny area of the field, parallel to the
road, but within the fenceline. It's pretty thick in the area, high
shrubs and scrubby trees (mix of cedar and other bushy ones) are
between the fenceline (barbed wire) and the road, so only in some
places can you even really see a passing-by-car. The area is covered in
thorns, mock-oranges we call them. You can only walk through trails,
that were used by the cows that once grazed this field roughly 5 years
ago, that haven't grown over.
I made my way around a
particular area that prevented me from following the fenceline. I
circled around the area and made it back to the fencline to continue
farther. This particuar area has only small mock orange bushes. I was
paying more attention to my surroundings than what was in front of me,
then I saw it.
Along this fenceline
there was a cedar tree at this particular spot. Branches had been
broken out of it and placed back up against the low hanging branches.
It took me a second, but I realized it wasn't natural because the
branches had been turned the opposite way they would have broken. On
the side I was on, there was an opening, but what confuses me is it
seems too small for a Bigfoot to lay in. The opening was approx 2' wide
by 3' tall. It appeard like a small cave. The whole structure was
roughly 5' wide by 10' long I'd assume. The area within the "cave" was
perfectly sculptured, not one sprig stuck out inside, it was rounded
off. The ground was beaten down inside and within a few feet of the
"enterance". What grass there was was low to the ground, most of it was
clover.
I could not believe what I had found. I didn't want to
disturb the area so I jumped the fence and walked along the road to get
back to my home. I didn't have my camera with me.
What's
throwing me off, is how close the structure is to the road, and how
small the inside of the structure was. No bed at the bottom. When I
first spotted it, I thought "deer bed" but then I saw how the cedar
branches had been placed. This wasn't natural, and I don't believe a
man would have made it, and something is using it for a shelter. The
bottom of the structure is well kept, grass is alway neat, and never
grows high.
I suspect this to be a possible Bigfoot bed.
Additional Information: This
"Bed" is located within roughly 100ft. of Mr. Bailey's sighting. Just
across the road. The structure has been determined not to be built by
kids or any locals. Follow up picutres below will show that the
branches used to make the structure are quite large, even I'd have
trouble moving and positioning them. There was an ice storm roughly 1
month before, and I, personally believe that it's possible that a
Bigfoot used the broken branches to complete the structure. Some of the
limbs appear to have been powerfully twisted to break from the tree,
and there are scrape marks down some of the branches where it appears
they possibly slid from a powerful grip? These will be indicated as a
red arrow in one of the pictures below. The interrior of the structure
is approx 2' wide by 5' deep, by 3' tall. Additional information will
be posted in time.
Update:
Upon revisitation earler in June of 2005, I was accompanied by a
friend. As we were moving towards the location we began to hear
vocalizations coming from nearly the area of the Bed, but a bit closer
to us. The vocalization was similar to what you'd hear when a wolf pup
barks, but this was a deeper sound, and powerfully loud. It occoured
once or twice, it was loud enough to catch our attention when moving
across the field which is now waist high. We continued moving closer to
the location when the vocalizations reoccured. They then became
regular, once in every five seconds or so. The same tone, the same
length, just repeated nearly every five seconds. This continued for an
estimated 5 minutes. For the last minute of the vocalization we started
moving again, both towards the sound and location of the bed, then the
vocalizations abruptly stopped. The source was unknown. We were unable
to locate the source afterwards. I did not have my digital camera with
me to record the vocalizations nor take pictures. I'm ashamed to say
I'd forgotten it.
Not much has changed at the site of the bed. The cedar limbs used to
form the "roof" have since died, but are still there. The interrior of
the structure remains nearly the same. The foor is clover, and has yet
to grow, making the appearance that the bed MAY still be in some light
use. Not sure on this. Will investigate again.
Prior (Day's) Events: Had been hiking through the field just for fun. Was following a fenceline when the structure was found.
