At the ripe age of 23 years, Sara Watkins is an inspiration to females, young and old alike. Playing the fiddle since age 6, she has been bringing her unique style and poise in bowing to the band Nickel Creek since 1989 (and recently, in Watkins Family Hour shows as well). But don't think that is just reason enough to be a fan. Besides her playing efforts -- those of which include bluegrass, celtic, and the style simply known to fans as "rocking acoustically" -- fans flock to her (and her bandmates) because she cares. You probably wouldn't find very many concerts where there isn't some happy fan who got to meet Sara, take a picture, get an autograph and tell her how much the music means to them.
