WATERHEAD 6- 30 WIGAN ST PATS

Waterhead put in a lacklustre display which was punished by a good St Pats outfit. The first half was possibly the worst of the season with
only four or five of the team performing at anything close to their best. The second half was better though again played at a canter with too many
errors to boot. The team is capable of much much better. Scorers Nathan Mason 1 try Ben Whitehead 1 goal
Good work from Danny Yates, Joel Hyland, Andrew Joy, Jake Shoel, Brandon Meanock and Sam Higgins.

INCE ROSE BRIDGE 16-8 WATERHEAD

Waterhead played some superb rugby in a very competitive North West Counties cup game and but for unforced errors whilst on the offensive would have won this game against the Lancashire cup finalists. and Shevington with 75% as a consequence Shevington were 24-0 up at half time. A better second half saw the head win it 6-4 but yards were hard to come by (energy sapped from first half) against a well organsed side with two huge players.

INCE ROSE BRIDGE 24-16 WATERHEAD

Today Waterhead bowed out of the Lancs Cup at the first hurdle in disappointing cicumstances. Gifting Ince a 14-0 start with a poor first 10 minutes then hitting back with two tries to make the score 14-12 at half time. A further poor start to the second half saw Ince stretch their advantage to 24 -12. Waterhead again pounded the Ince try and were rewarded with another try. Handling errors and two poor calls (penalties to
Waterhead) when advantage would have given Waterhead 2 deserved tries. In parts Waterhead were at their best again and with consistency another win will soon arrive.

WATERHEAD 8- 26 ST ANNES

Waterhead recent good run came to an end against a St Annes side who exploited defensive naivity particularly in a 10 min period in the first
half which saw St Annes run in 3 long distance tries and take a 14-0 lead. Waterhead rallied and scored probably the best try of the game to go
into half time 14-4 down. Waterhead scored again in the second half to get to 14-8 but more unforced errors let St Annes in for two late tries which gave St Annes victory albeit by a flattering scoreline. The weather was appalling but both teams applied themselves well in a hard fought game. Good Support from Thomas Fearon, Jake Shoel, Joel Hyland, Jordan Arundale, Danny Prestwich, Dillon Maders, Nathan Mason, Brandon Meanock, Ben Whitehead, Andrew Joy, Richard Joy, Josh Johnson, Mark Crossley and Sam Higgins
