The Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Museum and a Ripley’s Moving Theater entertainment complex, designed to look like a 1950’s vintage luxury cruise liner run aground on the beach is set to open this spring. The three-story structure promises to be Panama City Beach’s coolest, weirdest and most unusual attraction yet.

Panama City Beach is undergoing a massive growth and redevelopment explosion at the moment. Numerous new resorts are under construction at the
beach, combining residential space with a collection of hip restaurants, chic retail shops and exciting entertainment.
Pier Park a 900,000 square-foot parcel running from Front Beach Road at the Pier to the heavily traveled Panama City Beach Parkway, will be a fun, family-oriented retail destination with a mix of shopping, dining and entertainment. Target and a 16-theater Motion Picture Theater will be completed by December 2006, with full project completion scheduled for 2007. Southern Restaurant Group’s Back Porch Seafood House will be modeled after the world famous Back Porch in Destin. Reggae J’s Island Grill will feature seafood with a Caribbean flair. Both restaurants will be located on Front Beach Road and will have direct views of the Gulf of Mexico, and grand openings are scheduled for the spring of 2007.
The City Pier’s renovation and rebuilding will begin soon. The old buildings on the south side of Front Beach Road will be replaced and new shops including a tackle shop, daiquiri bar, public restrooms and a large boardwalk will be built Live bands and volleyball happening on the beach will make this a weekend destination for both locals and visitors.
