I started the day out great! 1 cup of coffee with 1% milk with a mini wheat bagel and whipped cream cheese. Lunch was Chicken noodle soup with 1/2 Fandango salad with chicken from Panera Bread. I should not have eaten the french baguette but I did. :0( I had sugar free tea. I came home and got busy with life. I was hungry but didn't eat and instead I "worked out" with hubby. :0) I finally order a Queensland Salad from Outback. Not bad.. but I ate 1/2 the bushman bread. But that would have been OK if I stopped there. However, I also had 3/4 cheesecake from the restaurant. Yikes!
Okay.... so I DID NOT do my Turbo Jam today... :0(
I ate 2 wheat waffles with lite syrup. 6oz 1% milk with coffee. 1 cup grapes. 1 cup of broccoli cheddar soup for lunch. 1 f/f hot dog and a reduced fat cresecent roll. For Dinner I had 3oz pot roast, 1/2 cup white rice, 1 cup steamed broccoli and 1/2 sweet potato. After dinner I had 3/4 cup forsted flakes with a bit 1% milk.
As you can see, I eat hat I want but in moderation. I realize I need more dairy. I have the fruits and veggies down. It's the damn dairy! I just don't like milk! Maybe I'll eat a yogurt with fruit and granola in the morning and try to add a fruit smoothie through out the day.
I went shopping at our wholesale club and filled my trunk up with groceries so I got a little workout there. Then I came home and vaccumed, did my daughter's, son's hubby and I's laundry. Cleaned both bathrooms and mopped both floors. I folded and put away all that laundry. I didn't have my heart rate monitor but TRUST me, I got a workout. I am SOOOO tired right now.
Tomorrow I will do Turbo Sculpt in the morning and go about my day.
I did Punch Kick & Jam today from the Turbo Jam DVD's by Chalene Johnson. I had Kashi oatmeal with 1% milk and dried berries this morning. For lunch it was a small baked potato and a small chili from Wendy's and Coke Zero. Dinner was 4 1/2 oz grilled chicken breast with 1/2 cup of brown rice a HUGE salad with mixed greens, cucumbers, tomatoes, f/f feta cheese and Lite Raspberry Walnut Vinaigrette dressing. I also had a Snicker's bar. :0)
I'm excited! Although, I should have had one more dairy serving at least. I only had a cup of 1% with my oatmeal this morning. And I didn't take my vitamins either.
Other than that, today was a good day in my book. It took all the will power I had not to buy a Wendy's burger and fries when I was there today. And also I took a 35 minute nap around 1:30pm and I had not yet worked out. But at 3pm I forced myself to do it and right at the beginning I was telling myself I was too tired to do it and right then Chalene says, "You can do this! This is the part of the workout where you tell yourself you're going to do this. It's all in your head. So decide you're going to have a great workout"!
So... I got my head out my ass and I ended up really enjoying my workout!
I'm not perfect or anywhere near it so I just want you guys to know that it's a constant choice for me. I don't automatically just want to eat right and exercise. :0)
I'm hoping to inspire you! Please stop by my guest book and leave a motivating message for me too! :0)

I was working out tonight and my pants were literally falling off! ARRRGGHHH!!!! I looked crazy!
Another thing is while I'm working out my energy is through the roof! I don't stop once to catch my breath and all of a sudden my mind says... WOW Linda! You're pushing hard and you're sweating and you're not stopping! How cool is that?
I have these mental conversations with myself. hehehehe
So, lots of you have been motivating me with your messages about my weight loss and asking what I'm doing. I've been blogging it on here! hehehehe
I know... I hate reading blogs too.
So here it goes....
I've tried everything in the past 9 months!
Since
December, I've tried several online diet tracking programs like Calorie
King and Fitday. I jalso oined Sparkpeople and Weight Watchers. But I
found I don't have the time to log in 10 times a day and put in
everything I eat. This may work for some people but not me.
I bought TONS of exercise DVD's. (Beachbody of course) All which
I LOVE. I joined the YMCA with an all Y Family membership. My biggest
challenge with this has been to just DO IT CONSISTENTLY. If you move
your body EVERY DAY you WILL keep the weight off! Every day I have to
pump myself up! Even on my period... (sorry guys) I have forced myself to go work
out and guess what! I feel so GREAT after wards! It's crazy!
My
diet... I've tried Herbalife, which made me sick as hell and gave me
severe headaches. So of course, I stopped that. I tried a body
builders diet with lots of protein, I gained weight. But what is working FOR ME is my
version of the South Beach diet. Eating the GOOD carbs vs. the BAD
carbs. EVERYONE should eat this way. It's the right way. I mean, it's
great because I have not deleted any foods. I just eat them in
moderation or only ONCE a week and I've switched some things to lean
versions or sugar free versions. For example, my fave dessert is Sugar
Free Jello topped with Original Whipped Cream. The cup
is small enough that you can't over do it and it TOTALLY satisfies my
sugary craving!
Then the last thing but very important is my
husband's motivation. You see, as of about a month ago, he was inspired
to start working out. By who? LOL He decided he wanted to be healthy.
We meet up for workout dates at the Y or the
Sheriff's Office gym which is brand new and I love all the machines
there. Usually, we're the only ones there and by the time we're done
he showers and gets ready to go to work and if there are other deputies
there, they're always shocked to see a Sargaent working out. Wow.
That says alot, right? Those guys are there pumping iron but can't get
on the treadmill and run 5 minutes. Hmm... How are they going to stay
safe on the streets if they don't have any stamina to fight off a bad
guy? This is very real.
Anyway, if I can't meet hubby to
work out then I make sure I get to the Y that day. We match each
other's workout days. It keeps ME motivated. :0)
Here's something to look forward to..... Chalean Johnson, the creator of the TurboJam workout I love... is soon coming out with the HOTTEST new workout DVD. Here's a preview... Shhhhhhh! You know Beach Body coaches get the scoop first. It will get you RIPPED and lean! Stay tuned to my blog!!!!
