Waste and the World.
Saturday 19th March, Waste and the World took to the Blaengarw Workman's Hall stage for the third time. They were awe-inspiring. Amidst the mayhem that was unfolding on the dancefloor, crowd officials were called in to pull away a certain Martyn Mordecai who had collapsed during Needled Freedom. We are that good. We had it all: Lesbianism, Alcoholism....the works. You missed a stormer if you weren't there last night. Our set was as follows:
1. Abyss
2. The Great American Bear Charge
3. Cowboys From Hell
4. After The Thunder
5. Needled Freedom
6. Don't They Know
7. This Is My War
8. Walk.
Everybody who came was awesome and had too much to drink. Happy Birthday Kyle.
We played with the following bands:
Delaid
Downstream
Splinter.
A couple of others we didnt catch the names of.
Some photos and viideo footage was taken last night. The video quality is horrible, but if you want to listen to it do so. If you think its shit its your own fault. The picture movie will be up afterwards. Get ready to rumble.

REC GIG - FRIDAY 25th FEBRUARY
Last Friday, Bridgend Recreation Centre was rocked to its foundations by the greatest band on the planet, Waste and the World. Those of you who attended will know that we kicked some serious dick that night, and our set was awe inspiring. The biggest crowd, the biggest fans, the biggest songs and the biggest fucking pit, Waste and the World ruled. The 22 minute set was as follows:
- Abyss
- After The Thunder
- Needled Freedom
- This Is My War
All played to perfection. Every last one of you were awesome, almost as awesome as us.
The Bands
Bands who played with us on the night were as follows:
- Scaring Crows
- Dirt And Poison
- Platinum Black
- Shamed Angel
- Sonic Thrust.
They all ruled and we had a wild party fuck of a time.
Recording
Waste and the World entered the studio on Monday to record a preview track for their much anticipated debut Album 'Time To Die.' That track was Abyss. The track was recorded in under 20 minutes, but the fine tuning took 8 hours. We are very happy with the outcome and everything sounds fucking huge. The drums will kick you in the balls or pussy, and the screaming harmonic wails produced by the guitars are helped along no end by a bounding bass line that will flatten your face. It has cemented our place in the hall of awesomeness. That track will be up soon and if you want a copy of a short home video we've made then just ask. It contains footage from the mumbles gig, several rec gigs, us practicing and drinking non fucking stop. Be warned - It'll take your face off.
Ben, Sam, Ken, Aled. 3/3/05.
You are gay.
