Our Farm

We live in southern middle Tennessee about 1 hour south of Nashville. We own 55 acres of land and rent 350 acres that joins us. We raise 75 head of Limousine cross cattle and 25 head of Fullblood and Fullblood South African Boer Goats. Our farm is located next to a historic landmark, that of the birthplace of General Nathan Bedford Forrest, a Confederate Army General in the Civil War.
We started goats several years ago with a Fullblood Boer buck and some percentage does. When we sold our farm that we previously lived at we decided to sell our percentage herd and purchase a fullblood herd. We bought 9 fullblood and 3 fullblood sa does from Charles and Cheryl Denton (A & C Boer Goats) in Rockvale, TN. They are the nicest people and are so easy to do business with. They helped us get started in the business and for that we are very grateful. After we purchased the does we needed a buck. We surfed the web for months until I found one in Cummings, GA. We then drove to Mincey Goat Farm and purchased our fullblood sa herd sire. We were set to go, or so we thought. Our first kidding season was a disaster. We lost 3 does that were bred and one baby that was born dead. We only had 2 kids out of that season, a doe and a buck. But this time we have had 12 babies out of 8 does and we are thrilled.
We would like to invite you to come visit our farm anytime. Just give us a call and we'll be waiting for you.
