Anorexic's Advice

Bear in mind that thinspiration does encourage eating disorders, dieting and generally unhealthy behaviour:
- It lowers self-esteem and body-satisfaction 
-it motivates people to lose weight (often by unhealthy means, and could cause death) 
-it changes a persons perception of beauty and also normality to become warped.

Thinspiration is basically a lie - it says 'If you are thin you will be beautiful and happy like these girls look'. However it is a lie because:
-only beautiful girls are picked as thinspo, it doesn't include the ugly anorexics, the anorexics with walking frames, the anorexics with a big bone-structure, the anorexics wearing diapers, the anorexics lanugo, etc.
-a picture cannot easily show the emotional pain and the health issues going on underneith.
-some of those girls are actually healthy, and are naturally very slim.

Think of the people whose photos these are...
-what if they're dead or very sick? how would the person and their families feel about you using their picture to 'thinspire' yourself and others to lose weight dangerously?
-would it be different if the thinspo was of cancer sufferers who had lost weight through chemotherapy? why?
-would the person give permission?

Thinspiration encourages the false belief in others that:
-anorexia is all about losing weight
-anorexia is all about vanity
-people with anorexia choose to starve and need to motivate themselves
-that anorexia is beautiful
