    Nestled in the quiet farm and horse country of southern Lapeer county, in Mid-Michigan you will find a small herd of unique and friendly critters called alpacas.  They live with the Schell family and their other animals.

    Alpacas are known around the world for their very fine luxurious fleece.  They come in 22 natural colors and even multi colors.  They are very earth friendly, having pads and 2 toenails instead of hooves.  It is so relaxing watching them interact with each other.  You've just got to giggle when you see the little cria running and jumping around the pastures.....  they get everyone going and, soon they are all pronking around.
