Posted by wallangarrarpc on January 24, 2018 at 7:30 AM

The Tetrathalon training has started.  The State Tetrathalon is on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th March at Serpentine.  For those interested in having a go and representing Wallangarra it is a 2000m run, 200m swim, laser pistol shoot and XC/SJ.

We are holding running and shooting training on Tuesday’s at the club grounds from 5.30pm. As well as joining our friends from Orange Grove at swimming training on Thursday nights at 5.45pm at St Brigids.

If you have no idea what the Tetrathalon is all about it is a run, swim, shoot and Cross Country ride. It’s a great club discipline. Come on down and have a try.

The tetrathalon is a 1500m run, a 4 minute swim, a target shoot and XC jumping (height determined by age/grade (min 65cm for state Tet.)

The preliminary Tet is held in Feb or March ( dates to be confirmed), with the state tet on the 8/9th April in Serpentine. The prelim Tet can be as a pair (each person does two phases) or as an individual. For the state Tet the individual must complete all 4 phases.

For anyone interested we start training tomorrow January 15th at the club grounds at 5,30 to do running. There is shooting training every Thursday at Canning Pistol Club at 6.30pm and then individuals can do their own swimming training.

For the State tetrathalon you must have completed three rally's on your nominated horse and a cross country at your height in the 12 months prior to the Tetrathalon. Kim Greenwood is getting a list together of events that you can qualify at.

Any that is interested or has any questions please email Kim at greenwood_kim

Look forward to having people representing Wallangarra Pony Club.
