The Story of the Walk:

Victoria has had Lyme Disease for a while now and it has really affected her.  When we were at the Relay for Life (a cancer walk) that was being held in a nearby town last May, we were discussing bringing the Relay for Life to our own town.  We knew just the park and were sure that it would be a hit!  Then we started to joke about holding a Lyme Disease Walk.  At first it was only a joke...then we started to get serious: obviously Victoria was suffering horribly from a disease that few people in our area knew little, if any, about.  What better way to bring the community together and hopefully raise some awareness than a walk?  We got on the computer at home and Googled "Lyme Disease Walks" and NOTHING came up!  So...we decided it was necessary for us to blaze the trail!  Thanks to our very supportive parents and active "lymies" we are getting this show on the road.  Be sure to check the website frequently for progress we have made!
