These are most of the moves that I can describe to you so if you want to breakdance then I hope that this will help. PEACE!!?!
just click on the move that you want to learn or need help with.
Windmills Flares turtles da kneespin the headspin 1990's 2000's da elbow spin
the worm rotation kick up's suicides front flip da V-kick da W-kick backflip halo's
You must remember that you must get a little warmed up before you attempt any such action such as breakdancing, also it takes time to learn these things so make sure you practice if you want to get as good as all the crazy as hell people out there who do this for a living.
I will add more moves to the list later.
this is how many people have visited this page so far.
this page is still being constucted so I only have a few description on here.
I'm sorry I'm so slow!!
(O.K. lets see if this will work) this is what you do if your just startin to learn. First you want get on the floor on your hands and knees. After that then you put your left arm ( this is for counter-clockwise rotations so if you go clockwise then just reverse the left and rights and it should work) by your stomach and your right arm in front of you and to the side a little bit. After you get into this position (which is the easy part) you want to callapse onto your left arm and roll onto your back and at the same time you do this you want to kick your left leg underneth you so that you can get that speed you need to spin around. If you did this than you should have landed back the way you started, not exactly the way you started but back on your hands and knees, so if you can do that it's time to move on.
Now comes the really hard part this is what you got to wory about when you are learning this move. So now instead of stoping the like the first time you have to keep it going. So when you roll over you have to get your arms back underneth you so that you are off of the ground so that you can kick your left leg back under your right legs so that you can have enough momentum to keep it going.
this is what the windmill should look like.
TIPS :
When you are rolling over try to make it as smooth and fast as possible.
Also when you are kicking just kick your leg and keep your hips straight with your back, because if you don't than you will roll over funny and you won't do it right.
And if your forehead touches the ground don't worry as long as you panic and just keep going than you will be fine nothing will happen to your head as long as you do it right. Now you might laugh at this but some people freak out when this happens because there head usually doesn't touch the ground when they do this move.
Also DO NOT I repeat DO NOT try this on CARPET, I mean unless you want to get burned then don't do it.
One last thing make sure you have enough room to practice this move.
All of the moves that I will describe will be for counter-clockwise.
Well the flare is a very hard move to master because you are on your hands and only your hands while you are propelling your legs around your self.
So what you want to do is be on the ground all most like your gonna do a push-up, but instead you have your arms right next to your body. Now you need to spread your legs out pretty far apart. Now this is where it starts to get tricky. After you get positioned you have to kick your left leg underneth your right and at the same time you get onto your left arm( now this kick should at least get you around once that all if you are just starting ) once your your legs are in front of you you need to switch arms while you keep your legs comin' around. If you are just starting to learn the flare you should land back the way you started ( or in a similar position ) once you think you got that down pretty good it's time to move on.
Now this is the hardest part to learn because you have to keep it going which I might add is easier said than done. So what you need to do keep kicking your left leg under your right after every rotation.
look at this cool pic of the flare that I found.
Tips:
you want to lean forward as much as possible when kicking your legs around
also don't be afraid to lean forward YOU WON'T KICK YOURSELF IN THE FACE, now you might laugh, but if you don't do this you will have an even harder time learning how to do this move.
heh heh ( IT GOIN' A RAIN )
Turtles
here's a pic of the turtle.
This isn't as hard to learn as some as some of the other moves at least it wasn't that hard to learn for me, but it might be different for you I'm not to sure.
Now for this move you are going to get in a position almost like a push-up, but you are going to stick your elbows into your stomach. Now after you get a little comfortable with this position you will pick up your feet and try to balance on just your arms. ( Now you should be able to learn this pretty quick ) This is the part that will take awhile to learn. What you have to do is shift your weight from right to left. So you put most of your weight on your left arm so that you can move your right arm forward a little bit then you switch your weight back to your right arm then you move your left backwards.
So if you are doing this correctly you should be going in circles.
Tips:
when doing this move you still need to keep your balance here are some reasons why:
If you lean to far back you will hit your knees and this will mess you up.
Also if you lean to far forward you will hit your face on the floor and I don't think that's what you would want to happen.
This move is really easy to learn. Again you get into a push-up position you go onto your left knee and stick your right leg out as far as you can. Now once you are like this you start to spin your self with your hands toward your left side and then you should start spining. The only thing to master for this move is balalnce which you should be able to learn on your own. O yeah um, make sure that the leg your not on is sticking straight out or you will lose your balance while you are spining.
Tips:
The only tip for this move is that you will get very dizzy doing this move
and so if you get sick from doing it then it's not my fault. ![]()
The headspin is in my opinion is one of the moves that people want to learn the most.
Okay well if you want to learn the headspin than there are a few steps that you must go through in order to learn this move.
1. (1)This step is for beginners if you are not a beginner than go to step 2 if not than read this first. Now what you want to do is go into a headstand ( and don't use a wall to help you because than you will learn this wrong and plus thats cheating and you become dependent on the wall and thats not what you want trust me. ) now once you get into a headstand you want to find your balance ( or your sweet spot if you will ) now once you've found your sweet spot put your hands in front of your face so your hands and head form a triangle. This helps balance you, and when you are doing all this your legs need to be pointing straight up. Now that you got that you need to have get used to balancing like this for along time and be able to do it whenever you want to do it. (2) Now for the second part of the first step. Once you got the balance down you need to get used to keeping your balance when you move your legs around. Now all you have to do is jsut move your legs back and fourth bend your knees just stuff like that get creative, but you need to keep your balance while doing this stuff ( in other word make it look easy) once you've mastered this than it is time for step 2.
2. This step is for those who are wanting to learn how to spin.
I am sorry I can't finish this part at the moment but it should be done by tonight or tomarrow.
thank you!
