The West Australian Harness Driving Society is an all-breeds horse and pony driving club with an ever growing membership. Focused on promoting safe carriage driving, both for pleasure and show driving, the club offers several rallies and shows throughout the year, as well as pleasure drives hosted by club members. The utilisation and preservation of authentic and antique vehicles is encouraged by our society and some members currently use these vehicles when carriage driving at various shows. The club is open to drivers of every level of experience and new members are welcomed.
Marie Kahrle is visiting again early in the new year and doing lessons. She is a very experienced driver/teacher with a lot to give
It is proposed that the school will be held at Janeen Rae's Katanning property which has fantastic facilities for both horses and people - dogs too.
The school is most likely to be the weekend of February 7th-9th (3 days). It is likely that it will be hot. Janeen has a pool and lovely b b q area. The driving arena has flood lights so that lessons could be held in the evenings if need be.
The cost involved will be $200 for drivers and $50 for fence sitters
To determine if we go ahead with the school we need to get an indication of numbers. We will be limited to 10 drivers and of course as many fence sitters as possible.
