Wacky World of Wabbits

I started raising rabbits under my own rabbitry when my grandkids were too old to have interest in their 4H project, and I was left with many rabbits.  From 2002-2004 I helped the grandkids house, feed and water and breed their rabbits, From 2004-2006 I played around not taking the breeding aspect of raising rabbits very seriously, Since 2006 I took my breeding to a higher level and started to breed for standard.  I started out showing Mini Lops, although I do not show them much now, I have them in my barn.  I then got my first Mini Rex, a broken castor that passed away early last winter. shortly after I purchased my first lynx Mini Rex rabbit.  I now have otters, BEW, choc., and lilacs and lynx.  I love working with the different colors and have raised all colors at one time or another. I also have White New Zealands and have added BEW Netherland Dwarfs, and Dutch to my rabbitry.  Others will come and some will go, so look for new breeds and various varieties in the near future.

I have placed in the top ten at ARBA convention in 2006 and 2007 with my Lynx Mini Rex (actually it's the only two years I attended) and have won Best 4 class, BOB, BOSB, BOV, BOSV at local shows.  I buy good stock and that has been my success.  I breed mostly within my herd and occassionally will add stock to work in with my own.  I now have a controlled atmosphere for my does and kits and will be breeding more in the winter then I have in the past.  By investing in this, I hope I can produce more quality rabbits.  I believe in quality not quanity and will not sell a rabbit that I will not use or show in my own herd.

I take pride in my honesty and integrity and have never intentionally misled anyone and I treat people like I would want to be treated.
