Thanks to our Deputy National Commander, DMAC, we have a new, more advanced aesthetically pleasing site up, located here http://web.ndak.net/dmac/vcap/
Obscured by the daily hussle, bussle, and world events. the Civil Air Patrol quiety and effectively protects the homeskies, from search and rescue to border patrols. This all volunteer organization, created on December 1, 1941, has grown over the years to be the largest all-volunteer force with over 64,000 members, 600 aircraft and thousands of other resources. The CAP is often times the first to a natural disaster or to a plane crash, and often the most prominent. However, most people do not know about the Civil Air Patrol unless they know someone who is a member, and believe me, you will know if you have a friends or family who are members; they are the ones that are awakened by a phone call at 4 am after working long hours at work just to go look for a distress beacon. Unpaid. Selfless. Proud.
The Virtual Civil Air Patrol is our way of saying thanks, by spreading the word of the Air Force's best kept secret and educating those about the CAP. We operate as authentically as possible. We are NIMS compliant, operated by current CAP members, and follow guidelines and op orders form the Virtual Rescue Coordination Center (VRCC), just as the real CAP operates under the command on the Air Force Rescue Coordination Center (AFRCC) in Florida.
So, look around, apply, become a member of vCAP. You can be a pilot, an Incident Commander, mission base, ATC, whatever it is you like, we have many positions available. What exactly do we do? We emulate all types of CAP missions: Search And Rescue (SAR), Counter Drug (CD), Disaster Relief (DR), Border Patrols, and Blood Runs. Who knows what you will be called on to do, it depends on what is going on in your community. So join us, tell your friends, and become part of the Virtual Civil Air Patrol, and if you like it here and you aren't already a member, join the real Civil Air Patrol.

SO, have you heard of, or are you from a different virtual agency that says it is the virtual Civil Air Patrol? If so, please contact me so that we can attempt to make a working relationship. I want to unite VCAP websites into one common organization with each site being a different squadron
