Well, it's truely summer time now. We've had a week of 100+ temperatures. I'm ready for fall now! That didn't take much. Well, we have 6 puppies still looking for their forever homes. Well, I go round and round about keeping Hope, the smallest Harlequin female. She is very sweet and is identical to Cami at that age. And Cami turned out wonderful and I have a feeling she's going to follow in her footsteps. So we'll see. My ducks started laying eggs, which is very cool. I can't wait for the kids to be back from summer vacation (tomorrow) so I can assign them their new chores (egg collecting is one of them) and to introduce them to our new horse! I have a feeling they will be pretty excited about that. Nothing much is going on with dog news. Some of the puppies have hit 18 lbs now, right before their 9 week birthday. I think they are doing great! I will get new pictures this week of the remaining babies. :-) Peace out!
On Saturday the first of the puppies start going to their new homes. They will be 3 days shy of 8 weeks, so I think it will be ok for them to go. As I was playing with the puppies last night, Petey the harl male with the patch around his eye, jumps up so I can pet him, and I wanted to cry! I'm so excited that our babies have found such wonderful homes to bring joy to. But I have a feeling it's going to be an emotional day too. I hope to get pictures of each puppy with their new family as they come to get them, so I will post them on my site. I took some new videos, so check out www.youtube.com under vulpinegreatdanes and see the videos of the puppies. They are hole diggers already so watch out new puppy owners! Your yard will look like the moon too! LOL More later!
This is definitely NOT the glamorous part of raising puppies (is any of it glamorous though I ponder?). They are pooping machines! It's hurry up and feed them and watch them poop, then time to feed them again! LOL All the puppies are doing wonderful. We've decided not to keep any of this litter at this point. I think this might have something to do with being tired of puppies......... No, I'm not tired of them. They are precious and so much fun to cuddle and play with. And they love chasing me around the yard. And trying to chase the goats! I did get 5 1/2 week old pictures taken, but haven't had a chance to update them on the site. I did update them on my ads on www.puppyfind.com though. I don't have to resize them for that, and that is what takes me the most time. I will be taking their 6 week old pictures this weekend. Hopefully they will sit still long enough to get some cute shots. I also will have to think of a cute theme or props. The ugly yard and couch are not doing it for me anymore! Stay tuned for future PUPDATES! Talena
