General

Obviously, a link to the TwEECer website should be provided.

TwEECer website - http://www.tweecer.com/index.htm

********Version B3 can be downloaded via the following link:  http://www.tweecer.com/dl/RT130B3U.ZIP********

********Before downloading B3 DOWNLOAD AND READ THE INSTRUCTIONS: ********

http://www.freewebs.com/vristang/RT130B3_IG.pdf

The New (as of Jan '07) TwEECer Manual can be viewed here...

http://www.freewebs.com/vristang/Getting Started.pdf

NOTE:

You must have A9 or A10 on your system already, as B3 is not a full download.

Version B3 is the new release as of January 07.  There seem to be several upgrades in CalEdit/CalCon, and the Manual has been improved.

Version A9 can be downloaded at from the above TwEECer site.

Version A10 can be downloaded from the SHONuts site (version A10 was a upgrade for the SHO users.  Mustang users won't see any siginificant improvements or changes)

SHONut Performance - http://www.shonutperformance.com/TwEECer.htm

The A10 file needs to be located in the STKR folder with the A9 file.  You can retain both versions if you wish.

The official User Support group for the TwEECer is a yahoo! group

TwEECer Support Group - http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/tweecer/

A support program has been developed for the TwEECer (as well as other programs), called the EECAnalyzer.  This software picks up where the TwEECer leaves off, helping the user make tuning decisions, such as MAF curves, Injector Slopes, Injector vs Battery voltage (vBat), and even providing calculated hp numbers.

EEC Analyzer - http://eecanalyzer.webhop.net/

EA is easily worth the small fee, especially if you are new to tuning.

Some other Handy Programs...

The EEC Analyzer (EA) is a tuning software that uses mathematical formulas to help you better use the data acquired while data logging.  The software was created by a Mustang enthusiast named Clint Garrity.  Here is a link to his Home page http://eecanalyzer.webhop.net/ .  Current price of the software is $50, and is downloadable.

PCMX (PCMeXplorer) is a tuning software similar to CalEdit in functionality.  Some advantages of PCMX are as follows.  PCMX Creates .bin files (which is the standard, only CalEdit creates the .ccf format).  Allows complete customization of tables/functions/scalars such as titles, axis scaling and axis values.  CalEdit does allow rescaling, but the functionality is limited.  PCMX will be fully compatible with Moates gear, which I am still considering to allow tuning of a second vehicle.  PCMX does not provide datalogging, or any hardware for 'chipping' an ecu.  Here is a link to the Home page for PCMX http://www.pcmx.net/pcmx/.  Current price is $150, and is downloadable.

DATAQ - I am still looking into these products.  It seems that for a relatively small cost, this equipment will allow the recording of an additional 4 channels in CalCon.  The TwEECer site recommends model numbers 148, 154, and 194.  I'll post more info as I find it.

WideBand O2 Sensors

Innovate seems to be one of the better supported WB systems.  This is of course a personal opinion of mine, based on lurking through the tuner and mustang forums.

Innovate Motorsports can be found here:  http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/

The LM-1 is the more commonly used WB setup -----> http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/products/lm1.php

The LC-1 is less common, but lower in cost ----------> http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/products/lc1.php

Personally, I will be using an LC-1 once my 408w is rebuilt (should be around March 07).  I chose the LC-1 mostly for cost reasons.

Where to Get Help -

Updated 1/7/07

Resources for TwEECer support

Stangnet.com

  1. Fox 5.0 Tuning – This forum was recently started to support the increased number of questions regarding Fox 5.0 tuning.  Content is not specific to the TwEECer, but is specific to the Fox 5.0 computers.

http://forums.stangnet.com/forumdisplay.php?f=225

  1. 94-95 5.0 Tuning – This forum is similar to above.  Content is not specific to the TwEECer, but is specific to the 94 to 95 5.0 computers.

http://forums.stangnet.com/forumdisplay.php?f=211

EECTuning.org

This is a very good forum with a fair amount of activity from knowledgeable people.

Content is not specific to TwEECer, and not specific to Fox computers.

http://eectuning.org/forums/viewforum.php?f=2

EEC-Tuning.org______As of 1/7/07 this site seems to be gone.  Sad... there was some good info there.

The developer of EEC Analyzer hangs out at this site, so EA questions are very well answered here.  There are also some good EA tips that have been stickied.

Content is not specific to TwEECer, and not specific to Fox computers.

TwEECer on Yahoo! Groups

This is the official support forum for the TwEECer.  If you have a question about how to use CalEdit/CalCon this is a good bet as the developer of the TwEECer monitors this site.  The search function on this site leaves much to be desired.

Content is specific to TwEECer, but not specific to Fox computers.

http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/tweecer/

StangTuning.com

There is not much TwEECer activity on this forum, but there are some good archived files.  Content is specific to TwEECer, but not specific to Fox computers.

http://www.stangtuning.com/

Moates.net

Moates produces tuning software and hardware packages for many makes of computer, not specific to Ford.  If you wish to tune a second vehicle with the tweecer this seems to be the best source for a programmable J3 chip.

Content is not specific to TwEECer (TwEECer is rarely mentioned), and not specific to Fox computers.

This forum appears to be fairly young.  Content is not specific to TwEECer, and is not specific to Fox computers.
