13-8-09 Merv Eastgate
Merv Eastgate (ex PO Elect. HMAS Voyager and several others) is currently in Royal Brisbane Hospital (Ward 9B South - Room 11) He is due to celebrate is 81st Birthday next month and is battling. He is under heavy sedation for pain. He served in Voyager from July 59 to Sept. 61 We can only wish him well as he is also an ex FESR although never a active member of the FESR association. He also served in Vengeance and was one of the crew to bring HMAS Melbourne out to Australia. We trust his stay in Hospital is a peaceful and painless one.

10-8-09 Bill Battersby
Bill Battersby is now at home resting up after having keyhole surgery done on the Prostate Cancer. All went well for the operation so we can look forward to seeing the "Lord Admiral Bilgewater" up and about soon. For those who did not know it, Bill dressed up in a mighty costume (self designed and assembled) as Lord Admiral Bilgewater for the HMAS Voyager all Crews Reunion last February. Even received comments from the Chief of Navy (VADM Russ Crane) on the Saturday evening. Well done Bill.

Barrie (Bazza - Gabbie) May's wife June, has had a further setback in health and is now on increased medication and at home resting after a short Hospital spell. We hope all goes well this round for them.
