It is with regret that I inform you all that at a meeting after Doug Bains funeral, The remainder of the Committee decided that we could not continue with the VOYAGER all crews reunion 2011 in Fremantle. I hope that by informing you now, maybe someone can pick up the pieces and organise it for somewhere else. There is still over 12 months..I have spoken to June Bain, and she is sending me all the material Doug had about the reunion.I would be happy to pass it on.
Once again, it pains me to have to do this, but I am left with no choice. Kim (scruffy) Casas

What a terrible tragedy. I am a ex Rn Ran member. Served in the RAN 1950-1956, on Sydney, Murchison, Torrens. Rushcutter, Penquin. Anybody remember me I would be really pleased to hear from you, I was usually known as Paddy being Irish. Now live in Canada and also served in the USAF and Merchant Marine.

Les Sheehan says...Hi - Does anyone have the Email address for Winston Pallot? I have information he requested some time ago.
Hi Les, the last email address that I had for Darky Pallot was winjo@tsn.cc
I wanted to contact you to ask if you could post some information on the website for me.
Navy week starts in Adelaide on Monday and on Tuesday morning at 1100 the Naval Association Memorial Service will be held at Sir Edwin Smith Drive Adelaide followed by the Navy Headquarters SA Annual barbecue at the adjacent park area.
As HMAS VOYAGER group we will be placing a tribute on the Voyager plaque, one of three that we place each year, now paid for by Port Adelaide Naval Association as a result of a donation made to them at the completion of the 2007 Reunion in Adelaide
If any roving shipmates are in town we invite them to attend the service and barbecue as we have an invitation as the HMAS Voyager group.
Very short notice I know but if anyone is interested the welcome mat is out.
Best Wishes
Denis Moore

Les says...Hi All - I need to have some idea of the numbers intending to march in the ANZAC day march in Brisbane 2010 under the Voyager banner. Please Email me and let me have your names so as we have some idea of the numbers and also if intending to come along to the Maritime Museum and have your BBQ lunch and drinks. We will be in a group of QUIBS and FESR at the Museum so it will be an enjoyable gathering. Please email me with your intentions. Thanks Les Sheehan
