I am 17 years old and am in a sixth form in Norwich studying for my AS levels. I have been interested in politics for a long time and think that there are many ways in which Norwich and Britain as a whole could be improved for young people through the Youth Parliament. I enjoy doing lots of things in my free time. For exercise I do karate and have been doing it for years now, I also walk a lot. I like going out with my friends and when I'm at home I like chatting to people on msn messenger and reading, especially science fiction. For my A levels I am doing maths, economics, german and politics. Studying politics and economics has helped my understanding of how things work in the country and the importance of certain issues. I am also Chairman of the debating society at school, and the finance director for a Young Enterprise company and so have to do a lot of administration as well us public speaking. This has given me confidence in speaking and a good ability to organise things, both of which are important things for a Member of the Youth Parliament.
