Voltage News 2006.

01-21-06

I know that I have said for a few years that Voltage has an album on the way, and a few people have been wondering when is it going to happen. As of tonight 01-21-06 we have acquired a G4 Macintosh computer, and it has everything that we need to start producing multiple albums. It has all the hard drive space that we need to produce as many albums as we want, and has CD burning capabilities that our old Macintosh computer just did not have. When we produced "Why Should I?" last year in 2005, it became clear that the one song took up 25% of the available hard drive space, but with the new Macintosh computer that is no longer a problem. We started a nine song project in 1997-2000 at my friends studio Entity Sounds, but with his hectic schedule it became clear that these songs would not be finished until the Voltage studio was complete. With the new Macintosh computer we plan to finish these old recordings, and we will be working on new Voltage songs for you as well.

This week we have also acquired a new digital camcorder to make videos for the new up coming songs, and we will be updating the video for "Why Should I?" soon as well. We plan to make available high quality CD's using AIFF files, and Mp3 versions of the new songs for Internet users. We also plan to make available music videos of all the new up coming songs on DVD, so that we have video albums available for you as well.

The Voltage studio music factory should be up and running at full blast in a few weeks, and hopefully by summer of 2006 we should see the first Voltage album available to the public. We will keep everybody informed of our progress periodically until then, and we will post the information to where you can get the new music as soon as possible. So please check back to find out further updates on the new Voltage music, and we will have the music available as soon as possible.

                                           Thank you,
                                         Michael Tiffany

I hurt my back about two months ago, and it has kept my from getting some wiring done to start recording. It is probably about two hours of work to do, but getting down on the ground to finish it has been too painful. I have been able to get more video footage of the band, and it will help when I go to make more videos for the band. I hope to have the recording going soon, so we can record more music for people to enjoy.

04-04-06

I have gotten everything set up and running on the Macintosh computer, and I hope to start recording the new album tomorrow night.

Huston we have lift off!

The new Voltage album is on its way to ROCK YOU!

04-17-06

I have the basic tracks recorded for one song, so it will be ready for the other members of Voltage to record their parts soon. At this rate of recording I expect to have all the basic tracks for an album by the end of May, and should have it finished with the members of Voltage by the end of summer.

05-21-06

I now have the basic tracks recorded for FOUR SONGS, and I should have more done in a few weeks to complete the song line up for the album.

09-30-06

I have spent the entire summer trying to get my Marshall amplifier repaired, and I finally got it done a few weeks ago to continue recording. I think that I am getting a better sound than before, and I can record in a more functional way that is a win-win situation for all involved. I have one more song started towards the album line up, and I hope the have the rest within the next few days at last.

10-12-06

I have completed seven basic songs tracks with rhythm guitar only plus two more that might be better cuts than the first two, and I will start recording Jimbo Terry on bass on Monday next towards completion of this album. I hope to have it finished by the end of 2006 if no more problems arise, but who could have imagined that we would get bogged down the way we did in the beginning of this year like we did?

We Are Throwing It Into High Gear!

11-01-06

Tonight Jimbo Terry laid down bass track for four songs, and we will continue to record bass tracks in one week.

02-25-07.

For over two months our computer would not boot up, but as of yesterday I have managed to fix the problem. It has cost us valuable time with recording our new album, but we are back on track at last, and we plan to continue to record ASAP.

05-29-07.

After many months of delays with computer crashes, and programs that do not want to open, we have successfully recorded the guitar, bass and drum tracks for the album. We will be recording vocal and lead guitar tracks starting the first week in June 2007, and we hope to have the album finished by my birthday of June 28, 2007. We know it has been a long up hill climb to finish this album, and that we keep promising a finish date that keeps getting pushed back, so we would like to apologize for the wait to those that have been waiting to this album.

Stay tune out there in Voltageland for more updates!
