Song Story
Hard rock song about government failure to protect workers, from unfair working conditions. Written in Arnold Missouri in the year 2000. The First version took four days to write and record, the second version was a live take that took one try and is a rough cut. Copyright 2000.
Lyrics
First Verse:
Telling your lies to millions of fools, throw away your golden rules.
Pockets full of corporate bribes, see the misery by your side.
First Bridge:
How could you forget about us, how could you betray our trust.
How dare you forget about us, how dare you betray our trust.
Second Verse:
Since the beginning they've had their way, government turns the other way.
Rich, they have everything, politicians kiss their ring.
Campaign money is all they want, sell us out for power and clout.
Second Bridge:
How could you forget about us, how could you betray our trust.
How dare you forget about us, how dare you betray our trust.
Chours:
Ahhhhhhh, Ahhhhhhh, Ahhhhhh liers 4 times.
They'll bring you down.
Third Verse:
The ghetto is full of broken men, life times maimed by corporate sin.
Men without hope, men without dreams, broken by the corporate schemas.
America could be paradise, politicians tell their lies.
Third Bridge:
How could you forget about us, how could you betray our trust.
How dare you forget about us, how dare you betray our trust.
Chours:
Ahhhhhhh, Ahhhhhhh, Ahhhhhh liers 4 times.

Song Story
I have been working on upgrading my Macintosh computer for five years, and turning it into a 100 track recording studio for the band. I have had some experience with computer recording, because I had started recording nine songs in the recording studio that are not finished, but since I have set up my own home recording studio it is easier to record songs. I will finish the other nine songs as soon as possible, and I will be working on recording new songs with all the members of Voltage as soon as possible. Once I had my new home studio finally set up this song was the first song recorded, and as I became more familiar with the recording program the song became bigger and better. I have learned the entire recording process at this point, and we will be recording more songs with high quality digital recording. We all learned from this song while recording it, and this will be reflected in future songs that should be even better. Copyright 2005
