Martyn Warren has been obsessed with early choral music since a teenager, and in 1987 took the opportunity offered by Buckfast Abbey to form a choral group (at that time just 7 male voices) to sing Renaissance music in its liturgical context. He remains somewhat bemused, but delighted, by the success of the choir in the intervening 20 years. His day job is Director of the Rural Futures Unit and a member of the School of Geography in the University of Plymouth. |
