Ijaba is a true Ridgeback in character and because of her we came to love and respect the breed. She has got a super character. She is very sweet, easy going, has got a lot of humor and a high will to please ( especially for a ridgeback ). She is very social with other dogs. Because we often walk where there are a lot of other dogs she is used to playing and interacting with a great variety of dogs. I also take her with me to my dogtraining classes where she helps me keep all the boistrus puppies in line! Outside she moves with great speed and has tremendous endurance and agility. It is truly beautiful to see her move gracefully through nature. She is also a true hunter and loves to chase small game ranging from all kinds of birds, rabbits, hare and even deer.
At home she has a couple of hobbies: sleeping, eating, basking in the sun and playing with (read: squashing!) her best friend Kadushi and her daughter Chikumbi.
With Ijaba I am active in obedience, agility, scenttracking and ofcourse participating in dogshows.
