_________________________________
Open a New Image in PSP - 575 pixels wide by 300 pixels high
Add a New Layer
Floodfill White
Open your Chosen Close Up/Face Tube
In your Materials Palette
Black in the Foreground Colour Box
White in the Background Colour Box
Go to Gradient - Linear
On Angle 0
Repeats 1
Invert Ticked
OK
So this should result in you having the Black part of the Gradient in the middle
Add a New Layer to the tag canvas
and floodfill with the Gradient
Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur 20.00
Duplicate this layer
and on the top copy
Go to Filter Factory Gallery A - Triangular Mosaic Filter
Size 20
Mode 42
(These are the default settings)
Apply
Then
PSP Effects, Texture Effects, Weave
Gap Size 1
Width 4
Opacity 3
Weave and Gap Colour White
Tick Fill Gaps
OK
And change the Blend Mode in the Layers Palette to Soft Light
Add a New Layer
between the two Gradient Layers
and from your tube, use Dropper Tool to choose a colour
Put this colour in the Foreground (Top Colour) box
Go to your Brushes and find the soft brush of your choice
and on your New Layer which is between
the Gradients
and add the Brush in various places on the layer
This is a very subtle effect but adds slight colour to the background
Once you've applied, change the Blend Mode to Soft Light or similar
OK
Copy the Tube
and
Paste as a New Layer above the others
Move to the right of the canvas
Change the Blend Mode to Soft Light or Overlay or similar
Duplicate
Move over to the Left of the canvas
Position as liked and erase blend any excess or straight edges if needed
Take your Preset Shape Tool
Look for Rectangle
Line Width 6.00 Solid Style
In your Foreground Box, choose your Gold or Silvery gradient
on the same settings as before
In the Background box, click it so it's null/nill/nothing
Draw out a Rectangle as mine
Convert to Raster and Place on the left
Click inside the Rectangle using Magic Wand
Selections, Modify, Expand by 4
Paste the tube again - resize if liked
Position within the Rectangle
Selections Invert
and hit Delete on the tube layer
Selections None
and Make sure the tube layer is under the Rectangle Frame
Crop to canvas size 575 x 300 to get rid of any excess tube outside the canvas
Use Crop Tool on Snap crop rectangle to: Merged Opaque
Now - using Preset Shape again
with same gradient but change the Angle to 45
See the long central black section created by the black and white original FG/BG gradient?
Use that as a guide, and draw out a very long rectangle
Go over the outside of the canvas on the right hand side
so you can adjust the lines and move the Rectangle back over
Once you've drawn it out
Convert to Raster
and Move the rectangle over the left more
so that only the horizontal lines of the rectangle show
then move the Rectangle down the Layer Palette under the main
tube layer and small rectangle
Again, crop to the canvas size as before
Now
Once more, see the outer line of the gradient as before
and draw the larger outline rectangle
and once drawn, move down the Layers
and crop to size
OK
Now open your chosen diamond to use
Copy and Paste and Place as a new Layer above the others
Now
Mura Meister Copies
on the Preset Line - default settings, OR you can add more numbers if you'd like
Once you've applied, delete or erase the diamonds you don't need
(See my tag for placement)
Duplicate
and move the other diamond line down the tag
Add a New Layer to the top of the Layer Palette
Selections, All
Selections Modify, Contract by 2
Floodfill with the metallic gradient
Selections None
Now then
Apply a subtle shadow to each of the metallic gradient shape layers
I used
0, 0, 35, 7.00 Black
Apply any wording that you'd like
I used a black fill for the font
Plain Font - Champagne and Limousines
Script Font - Carpenter
then
added the words
and then
Eye Candy 4000 Corona
(aHA!!! Not Gradient Glow lol!)
On the default settings, but drop the Glow Width to 5.00
and change the colour
to the one from your tube or a lighter shade of it
OK
Now, add your name in the metallic gradient
Kerning for the font on 100 if your name is short like mine
Stretch to fit
Convert to Raster
Apply a favourite font dropshadow
And add your artist info/copyright info
Now then, to animate (if liked)
Duplicate the tube main face tube layer twice to total 3 layer
on the bottom one
using Magic Wand
click sections of the tube - it doesn't have to be exact
just a smattering
OK
Once selected
Apply Xenofex 2 Constellation
on my settings as follows

(Important: Make sure you drop your Overdrive slider to match mine, we
want subtle shimmer, not mad sparkle this time lol!)
Apply
Apply this to the other 2 tube layers
Hit Random Seed a couple of times before
each application
Once it's applied to all three layers
Selections None
Now, animate the usual way for a 3 layered animation
change the Frame Properties to 15
Save as .GIF
All done :)
Hope you enjoy this tut xx
