Research on Historical Milestones and their Impact on Modern Society

A.     Choose one of the events / concepts / theories in the list below to research on. No two students in the same class may choose the same item.

B.     Do a write up on the event of no more than 2 pages using MS Word, font size 11, Arial, with a margin of 1.5 cm on all sides.

C.    Your write up should consist of the following:

(i)        Summary of the main details of the event / concept / theory

(ii)      Impact of the event / concept / theory at the time of occurrence

(iii)    How the event / concept / theory has altered the course of human history

(iv)     How the event / concept / theory still affects world affairs and events today

D.    Please remember to acknowledge the source from which you obtained your information.

E.     Print out your write up and submit it to me by Tue 3rd July 2007.

F.     After I have read your research and approved it, upload your MS Word document onto your class repository in the folder “Milestones Research”.

G.    Prepare a 5 min powerpoint presentation based on your research within 1 week of receiving my approval for your project. You will be randomly selected to present your research to your class. Your assignment is only considered completed after the presentations have been done satisfactorily.
