Well, Raj kumar is like that... He is so compassionate withall animals,trees and living things apart from compassion, his scientific knowledge helps him to rescue any kind of animal.He has worked with "The Blue Cross Of Hyderabad" and also with "Muncipal Corporation of Hyderabad" in their animal welfare programmes. He has been on training at Pune Snake park and also at "The Bronx Zoo" U.S.A. Raj kumar Started "The Friends Of Snakes Society" 15 years back and is constantly struggling for the conservation of snakes and to spread awareness about indian snakes in the community.

He , being a follower of Romulus Whitaker, has caught his first snake at the age of 7. And from then on the saga started. He has done about 3000 rescues and given over 4000 educational snake demonstrations.

He has had 19 venomous snake bites so far and has lost two fingers to serious snake bites . But he goes on with a smile, and says, its all a part of the game

We have over 70 members who are supporting his cause. here is a rescue team of over 8 members who are active 24 hours of the day and ready to jump into action the minute we receive a call about Snake rescue.

To us, at "Friends Of Snakes" he is a walking encyclopedia about animals. Raj kumar is writing a book on his experience with snakes, Dedicating to the great Romulus Whitaker.
