Appliances from
The Rise, Northowram,
Elderly gentlemen stuck down a steep slope. On
arrival casualty was wedged behind a rock and holding onto a tree.
Specalist line rescue crews were requested to attend.
Crews were lowered down to casualty who was then strapped
to a spineboard and then lowered to the bottom of the
slope and carried by safe route back up to a waiting ambulance.
Casualty then taken to hospital with suspected back injuries.

line rescue crews were sent from
Cleckheaton (6212 MRU), Rawdon (5001) and Pontefract.
House Fire. This proved to be a chip
pan fire out on arrival. 1 adult was transported to Leeds General Infirmary by
ambulance
suffering from burns to face.

floor flat caused by gas leak from a cigarette lighter cannister. Minor structural damage to
a window,
stonework and masonry in the flat. 1 male occupant suffered slight smoke
inhalation and was given oxygen therapy at scene
by Fire Service Personnel and then checked over at scene by Paramedics, but did
not go to hospital.

Fire in yard containing trailers,wagon parts and crane parts. 2 trailers involved in
the fire along with a number of
Liquid Petroleum Gas cylinders, 2 Large jets used to
extinguish the fire. A nearby Aged Persons Home was evacuated
due to the close proximity to the fire.
